Military Museum

At the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, originally named the Ohio Soldier’s and Sailor’s Home, a museum was opened in the original Administration Building, which is also referred to as the I.F. Mack Building.
In the late 1980s, a resident who had real life experience in running a museum, collected artifacts, pictures, books and more from the various wars and conflicts. He wanted to display those items and make them available for viewing to other residents and visitors to the Home.
You can find artifacts on display from the Spanish American War to the current day wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
