The Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame was created in 1992 to recognize the accomplishments of veterans who served in the military honorably and then continue to serve their communities through volunteerism, advocacy, professional distinction, public service and philanthropy.
Each year, the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame Executive Committee reviews nominations and selects up to 20 candidates. Nominees are formally inducted into the Hall of Fame during a ceremony in November. The following May, an Enshrinement Ceremony is held and a bronze plaque featuring the class members’ names is permanently installed in the Riffe Center for Government and the Arts, 77 S. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
